As 2021 draws to a close we’ve been reflecting on another busy year in which Eclipse’s experienced and resourceful team rose to many different challenges.
In his review of the year, head of sales and marketing Daren Wood rounds up the highlights and looks ahead to 2022.
The year began with the completion of a project that would later gain recognition from our security industry peers and scoop a prestigious national award. The project involved the installation of a C-UAV system into a military establishment which plays a major part in protecting our nation. State-of-the-art technologies were combined and integrated into the site’s current security management system. Find out more about the project in our blog.
Making a difference to prisoners’ lives
Also in 2021, we installed a CCTV system in a new prisoner-led restaurant and coffee shop at HMP Wormwood Scrubs run in collaboration with TV presenter Fred Sirieix’s The Right Course charity.
The programme aims to give prisoners the cooking, service and business skills they need to secure hospitality jobs on their release and we were proud to be involved with such a positive initiative that will make a difference to prisoners’ lives and future prospects.
At the time of writing, we are currently involved in three major projects as well as our ‘day to day’ business. Two of the projects are for new clients and we are also working with the NHS on secure sites, completing major security upgrades including the installation of a new fibre infrastructure.
Dedication and innovation praised
Eclipse continued to service its existing client base, including the Government, the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Justice among others, and we’re delighted that our engineers’ professionalism, dedication and innovation continues to be praised.
As a business, we have expanded our team in 2021, recruiting more engineers, an operations manager and financial manager. This means we can continue to offer an outstanding service to clients who understandably expect nothing but the best from their supply chain.
At the centre of Eclipse’s culture is quality – from staff, materials used and the way the business operates. Adding to our ISO 9001 quality management system by achieving ISO 27001 in November was a natural progression and we also gained Cyber Essentials certification, which demonstrates our commitment to keeping client information secure.
National award success
The year was concluded in the best possible way when we were named winners in the Security Project of The Year award category at the annual Security & Fire Excellence Awards held in London. Winning this award in such a competitive category was an outstanding achievement and maintains our 100% success rate as we lifted the Security Integrator of the Year prize in 2018.
As we approach 2022 amid continued fears over the pandemic, one thing is certain. Eclipse Digital Solutions Ltd will continue to work with our clients to understand their security requirements and develop bespoke, innovative and cost-effective systems to meet their needs.
