One of the world’s leading cyber-security and escrow businesses, NCC Group engaged Eclipse Digital Solutions Ltd to redesign their existing global video management system (VMS) solution due to performance issues with a number of globally distributed sites.
Eclipse evaluated the existing infrastructure and proposed system architecture changes to remove latency and video-loss issues. This solution made use of a hybrid-cloud architecture available on the existing VMS platform.
Larger sites with robust WAN infrastructure remained on-premises solutions, while smaller satellite sites employed a combination of AWS deployed cloud assets and vendor-made hardware gateways to the cloud, all unified into the head control system in a federated solution.
Live CCTV and recorded streams, alarms and access control assets were integrated into a central client.
As the system was deployed on the client network and domain, user accounts were leveraged to the client’s Active Directory environment to secure access to all territories’ assets for local and senior stakeholders.
